_OVERVIEW

_Created a mobile game as a personal project with a friend in Unity. I was responsible for Game Design, Game Development, Technical Art and 3D Art.

_Made a custom vertex displacement shader using shader graph to achieve a curved world effect.

_Modelled and implemented 3D pixel-art assets using low-poly surface modelling, UV snapping to a grid and using Photoshop to create pixel-art textures.

_Constructed custom shaders within shader graph to accomplish a pixel-art style including a water and terrain shader.

_Designed and programmed an interactive combat system using one input button and virtual joystick, optimized for mobile.

_Created and designed the user interface using dynamic and scalable pixel-art elements.

_Procedurally generated islands with a custom script based on parameters and island types

_DESCRIPTION

My Islands is a 3D, sandbox, survival game designed for mobile. The player wakes up as a castaway on a mysterious island and must utilize their resources in-order to survive the harsh conditions and enemies of the islands.

To survive you must craft items, build shelters and discover other islands to find survivors which will uncover the secrets and lore of what lead you there. The game is presented in a unique art-style consisting of 3D pixel-art.
